Fighting on three fronts

You run out of superlatives for the superb Tottenham team that showed enough swagger and arrogance to run out 0-3 winners against Norwich. Eriksen, Kane and Alli were uncontainable from a Norwich point of view and, once again, proved that when they are at their best, few teams will manage to stop them. As a result of the added three points to the ever-increasing tally, Spurs jump ahead of Arsenal and into 3rd place – even the Spurs fans are beginning to believe.

Challenging for the league title

Spurs have got to be considered fro the league crown in the battle for the most open Premier League yet. A magnificent defence and an unstoppable attack, firmed up with the big midfielders in Dembele and Dier and also an agile keeper and great leader in Hugo Lloris. The spine of this Spurs team is one of strength and has been extremely impressive all season and has finally put to bed the theories that Spurs have a soft under-belly, a soft under touch. This Spurs team looks to be made of steel, built on desire and a winning mentality. The confidence this Spurs team possesses is huge and is epitomised by the young Dele Alli who has been trying audacious tricks all over the field and even scoring the occasional wonder goal.

Should Pochettino shift his focus to bringing home Tottenham’s first league title since the 1960-61 season? Some would argue that a league title would be more valuable than a cup triumph this season – will the North London outfit get a better opportunity? Champions League football looks set to be returning to the Lane for the first time since the Harry Redknapp days and is the one thing that will keep Daniel Levy happy, for the meantime.

A chance in Europe?

The Spurs fans would love to add another European Cup title to their collection and having won the UEFA Cup twice previously, will this season see the famous trophy return to London? Some top teams still remain in the competition such as Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen but Spurs may have difficulty in getting past Italian giants Fiorentina. Spurs went crashing out last season in Italy by the Italian outfit and Spurs fans will not be willing to watch a repeat.

The FA Cup

Spurs have a great history in this great competition. 8 trophies are already in the collection but the Spurs fans haven’t tasted success in England’s oldest competition for 25 years and have been presented with a great opportunity this season. Having already eliminated one of the big names in Leicester City, and one of either Chelsea and Manchester City going out in the next round, this is a big opportunity for Spurs. We will be able to steer ourselves into the quarter-finals with a win against Crystal Palace at the Lane on the 20/02.

Which competition should Spurs value the most – or put everything into them all?
